Officer directing vehicles in a Houston parking lot

Parking lot and traffic control security in Houston.

A lot post is not a door post. We staff parking and traffic as its own product for retail nights, construction staging, churches, and events. Armed only if the risk needs it.

Houston Tactical Agency staffs licensed parking-lot and traffic-control posts as their own product — not only as a line item on an event invoice. Lots, staging lanes, and venue traffic get written post orders and 24/7 local dispatch under license B10550901.

A lot post is not the same as a door post

Traffic & parking in Houston

Houston venues and retail sites often put the cars a long walk from the door. A dedicated parking-lot officer watches vehicles, lighting, and people moving between the lot and the entrance. That is a different job from bag check. We sell it that way so the lot is not left empty while everyone stands at the door.

The walk from the stall

Houston venues put the cars a long walk from the entrance and still need a fire-lane that stays open. The lot officer's job is vehicles, lighting, and the walk between the stall and the door — not bag check. If both posts are staffed, they sit on the same license and the same dispatch number.

Traffic control that keeps emergency access open

Trained staff keep lanes moving at events and staging areas so guest traffic and emergency access are not the same pile-up.

Where this post shows up in Houston

Retail lots after dark, construction staging, private events, churches on Sunday, and venues where parking is the first thing a guest sees. Armed or unarmed depending on the risk — we do not put a firearm on a lot because a brochure said so.

How a lot / traffic proposal works

  • ›Tell us the lot layout, peak arrival window, and whether the post is events-only or nightly retail.
  • ›We write where the officer stands, how they move cars, and when they call for backup.
  • ›The lot is staffed as its own post. Door search is a different URL if you need both.

What a lot post is priced on

Hours and whether the lot is a one-night event or a nightly retail close. Armed vs unarmed. How many acres and whether traffic control is on a public approach (that may belong on the police page). We quote the layout you send.

Everything you need to know about this post.

Is this only for concerts?

No. Lots at retail, construction staging, houses of worship, and private events use the same post type.

Can parking staff work with your event crew?

Yes. Door, perimeter, crowd, and parking can sit on one license and one dispatch number.

Do you only work downtown?

No. The office is at 1201 Fannin. We staff lots across the Houston metro when we can cover the hours.
